Lakers basketball drawing national audience for three dates

Grand Valley's men's and women's basketball teams will have six upcoming games available on ESPN3.

Grand Valley’s men’s and women’s basketball teams will get a chance to showcase their talents for a national audience on ESPN3 in January and February.

Six games will be shown over three dates, beginning with the Lakers’ games against Wisconsin-Parkside on January 27. The women’s game begins the telecast at 6 p.m. followed by the men’s game at 8 p.m.

The Lakers follow that game with a February 10 appearance on ESPN3 when they play Northern Michigan. The women’s game begins the evening at 6 p.m. followed by the men’s game at 8 p.m.

The Lakers’ last telecast on ESPN3 will feature their senior day celebration, their final home games of the season, against Northwood on February 19. The women’s game begins at 1 p.m. with the men’s game at 3 p.m.

The Lakers’ other home contests are available on the Grand Valley Sports Network

All women’s games and most men’s road games are also available on The Ticket West Michigan (1340 AM) while all men’s home games and select road games are available on Thunder Country (107.3 FM).
