Deadline extended for campus climate survey

The deadline to participate in the 2021 myGVSU Campus Climate Survey has been extended to Wednesday, December 8.

Jesse Bernal, chief of staff to the president and vice president for Inclusion and Equity, encouraged all students, faculty and staff members to fill out the confidential, online survey. Emails were sent to campus community members from the address [email protected] with a link to the survey.

"Results from the survey will be used to guide decisions on university practices and policies," Bernal said.

This is the seventh campus climate survey. Actions and initiatives established as a result from prior surveys include adding ombuds positions, the religious inclusive policy and more services for student veterans.

Incentives will be offered to participants who indicate they wish to be entered into a drawing to be eligible for one of four $2,000 tuition awards for students, three $1,000 research or professional development awards for faculty members, and three $1,000 professional development awards for staff members.

Information about the 2021 survey and past campus climate surveys is online at gvsu.edu/mygvsu.
