MapQuest co-founder to speak at Muskegon Innovation Hub

Grand Valley's Muskegon Innovation Hub is hosting a presentation and book signing with MapQuest co-founder Chris Heivly at 8:30 a.m. on July 28.

Heivly is a speaker, investor, mentor and start-up founder. During his presentation, Heivly will discuss his new book, Build The Fort, and talk about his personal experience of building MapQuest and his other company, The Start-Up Factory, which is a seed-stage investor and mentorship program. He will also share his expertise about launching an idea, project or business.

Heivly said very few people write about or discuss the early idea stages of a company, which prevents many would-be entrepreneurs from making the decision to start a business in the first place.
