Administrative Professional employees at Grand Valley will have the chance to cast their votes to elect the newest members of the AP Committee and its subcommittees. The elected individuals will serve a two-year term beginning with the 2016-17 academic year.
The ballot will be accessible to AP employees May 13 through 5 p.m. on May 20. Votes can be cast at www.gvsu.edu/ballot.
Acting as a representative body for AP employees at Grand Valley, the committee reviews and makes recommendations regarding personnel policies and decisions that affect AP employees. The subcommittees concentrate on salary and benefits, professional development and the AP awards.
"Administrative Professional employees at Grand Valley enjoy an increasingly robust representation by their elected colleagues — something unheard of at many universities," said Monica Johnstone, AP Committee chair and CLAS director of communications and advancement. "This is part of our university's commitment to inclusion and equity, and that begins with voting since many of the races are contested."
