Student readies to compete in Miss Teen USA

First-year student Maria Rendina will juggle classes and her responsibilities as Miss Teen Michigan.

Rendina, from Monroe, won the pageant last fall and begins her reign this year. She will represent Michigan at the Miss Teen USA pageant this summer.

Rendina is an active member of Delta Zeta sorority and said adding this title will not be an easy task. She has already made appearances at the Detroit Auto Show and Mott Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor.

“I have no complaints or negative thoughts,” Rendina said. “No matter how stressful things may get, I know I am truly blessed.”
