Two Grand Valley staff members have joined a statewide effort to reduce sexual assault on university campuses.

Marlene Kowalski-Braun, assistant vice provost for Student Affairs, and Theresa Rowland, interim Title IX coordinator, joined representatives from Michigan’s public universities at a kick-off meeting in Lansing March 18.

The initiative is led by Sue Snyder, wife of Gov. Rick Snyder; state Sen. Tonya Schuitmaker and Rebekah Warren; and state Rep. Laura Cox and Marilyn Lane.
