GVSU Opera Theatre presents Company

Students in Grand Valley State University’s Opera Theatre are bringing a critically acclaimed, award-winning musical to the stage.

“Company” is one of Stephen Sondheim’s most celebrated musicals. The show has been nominated for a record-setting 14 Tony Awards and has won six.

Unable to make a commitment to a long-term relationship, the musical’s main character, Robert, spends his 35th birthday surprise party getting love advice from his five married couple friends. All the while, Robert is trying to stay afloat juggling three girlfriends. Despite the plethora of advice from his friends, Robert finally realizes he wants to meet someone with whom he can face the challenge of “being alive.”

Below is the full schedule of “Company” performances. All performances will take place in the Louis Armstrong Theatre located in the Performing Arts Center on the Allendale Campus.
