Campus mourns death of staff member

The campus community is mourning the death of Christine Hernandez,
Procurement Services assistant. Hernandez died February 14 after a
battle with cancer; she was 50.
Hernandez began working at Grand Valley in 2004. She was a past
member of the COT Development Committee, volunteered at WGVU Public
Media, Presidents' Ball, Faculty/Staff Picnic and mentored
international students through the Fit the Mitt program. She also
volunteered for Grand Rapids Civic Theater.
Services are set for 11 a.m. Saturday, February 21, at St.
Isidore Catholic Church, 628 Diamond Ave. NE in Grand Rapids.
Visitation is from 10-11 a.m. Memorial contributions are suggested to
Civic Theater.
