New Music Ensemble CDs featured on iTunes Classical

Two CDs recorded by the Grand Valley State University New Music Ensemble are being featured this week on the front page of iTunes Classical.

Their releases, 2007’s “Music for 18 Musicians” and 2009’s “In C Remixed” have received critical acclaim throughout the United States in publications such as The New York Times, Newsweek, Washington Post, and Billboard magazine.

The New Music Ensemble encourages the music of today through commissions, tours, recordings, collaborations, outreach events and workshops. The ensemble helps prepare students for careers that include contemporary music, but also helps them become educators, advocates and leaders in the field.
