The College of Education will honor an outstanding leader during
its convocation ceremony April 23, at 7 p.m., at DeVos Place in Grand
Rapids. About 200 graduates are expected to participate. The ceremony
is a precursor to Grand Valley’s commencement ceremonies on April 26
at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids.
During convocation, Nanette Clatterbuck will receive the
Outstanding Alumni Leader Award. Clatterbuck, dean of the School of
Education at Aquinas College, earned a bachelor’s degree from Grand
Valley in 1980 and a master’s degree in 1992.
Three students will give a keynote address: Mariah Andrews,
Michelle Vader and Kelli Andrascik. Two students will perform a duet
for the national anthem: Lauren Davidson and Rachel Niewiada.
