Gleaves Whitney, director of the Hauenstein Center for Presidential Studies, talked about finding common ground in politics on Michigan Public Radio's "Stateside" program on October 3, 2013.
Whitney's segment is the first in this online recording of the broadcast.
"Common Ground" is the ongoing theme of the Hauenstein Center's 2013-14 American Conversations speaker series. The next speaker in the series is social psychologist Jonathan Haidt, who will speak at 7 p.m. on October 22 in the Eberhard Center on Grand Valley's Pew Grand Rapids campus.
