New speaker series focuses on energy climate
Grand Valley’s Michigan Alternative and Renewable Energy Center is
kicking off a new, four-part speaker series that focuses on energy
climate.
Jennifer Hill of The
Climate Reality Project will give the first presentation on
Tuesday, December 10, from noon-1 p.m. at MAREC and 6-7 p.m. at the L.
William Seidman Center in Grand Rapids.
In her presentation, “Is Climate Change Real?”, Hill will
discuss the most recent findings about climate change and what can be
done about it.
Hill has taught at the Seattle Science Center and national and
state parks. She has a master’s degree from the Massachusetts
Institute of Technology, helped establish four citizen science
programs, and led a nationally recognized children’s health project.
Each presentation is free and open to the public. They will take
place at MAREC and the Seidman Center.
