Restaurant fire smoke seen on Allendale Campus

Plumes of smoke that could be seen across Grand Valley's Allendale Campus early Tuesday afternoon were not from a fire on campus, but from a nearby restaurant.
Fire crews continued to work on the fire at Los Aztecas, a restaurant on Lake Michigan Drive just west of 48th Avenue in Allendale.
WOOD TV in Grand Rapids reported that portions of Lake Michigan Drive near the scene were closed because of the fire as of 3 p.m.
