MAREC to host panel on pros, cons of Proposal 3
A panel of environmental, public policy and business experts will
discuss the pros and cons of Proposal 3, a proposition to increase the
Michigan renewable energy portfolio standard to 25 percent by 2025.
The event will be hosted by Grand Valley State University’s Michigan
Alternative and Renewable Energy Center.
The panel will discuss a range of topics and will reflect a
variety of perspectives on the proposal, which will appear on the
November 6 ballot. The program will open with an overview on the
constitutional amendment element of the proposal by Bruce Goodman,
senior partner at Varnum Law. Arnold (Arn) Boezaart, director of
MAREC, will moderate the discussion and guide a balanced question and
answer period after initial presentations by each panel participant.
