GVSU and Montcalm Community College sign transfer agreement

Grand Valley State University President Thomas J. Haas and Montcalm Community College President Robert C. Ferrentino signed a transfer agreement Sept. 6 that will help students who transfer to Grand Valley complete an associate degree at MCC.

The initiative applies to Montcalm Community College students who have completed at least 15 credits at MCC, but transferred before earning an associate degree.

“We are excited about this partnership with Montcalm Community College and the value of this agreement for students,” Haas said. “Students who transfer short of receiving their associate degree can receive that credential and can use credits earned at Grand Valley to qualify.”

Ferrentino said: “Our partnership with Grand Valley offers MCC students a great advantage to acquire needed credentials. We are pleased that Grand Valley is partnering with us to help students achieve their dreams of college completion.”

Grand Valley has similar transfer agreements with Grand Rapids Community College, Muskegon Community College and Macomb Community College.
