Amy Matthews, associate professor of psychology and director of the Autism Education Center, was named by Gov. Rick Snyder to a newly created Michigan Autism Council, designed to oversee the Autism Spectrum Disorders State Plan that provides for comprehensive, lifespan supports for patients and families.
Valerie V. Peterson, associate professor of communications, gave a presentation, “The Sexual Medium is the Ethical Message: The Interpersonalization of Sex Ethics,” at the 13th annual Media Ecology Convention at Manhattan College in Riverdale, N.Y.
Al Steinman, director of the Annis Water Resources Institute, was an invited speaker at an NSF-funded workshop, “Translating Science/Telling Stories: Agriculture, Water Quality, and Changing the Climate Conversation,” held at MSU’s Kellogg Biological Station.
