Candidates talk about justice issues at forum
A Kent County candidate open forum on justice issues was held
September 26 in Loosemore Auditorium at Grand Valley State University.
The forum, “Restorative Justice,” featured 10 candidates running
for positions in Kent County; a complete list is below. The forum was
moderated by Kevin den Dulk, director of the Henry Institute at Calvin College.
Candidates were asked about several issues including philosophical
perspectives of justice and punishment, juvenile justice, and recent
and pending legislation related to justice. Audience members were
given the opportunity to ask questions.
