MAP-works survey aimed at freshmen

Grand Valley freshmen will be invited to complete the interactive MAP-Works web survey from September 12–October 3.

Faculty and staff members are asked to encourage freshman students to complete the survey and get connected to Grand Valley’s student support services. Nancy Giardina, assistant vice president for Academic Affairs, said MAP-Works is an excellent tool that allows faculty and staff members to work with new students and help them transition successfully to college life.

Giardina said when students complete the survey, they are given feedback and advisors may follow up with individual students after viewing survey responses, connecting them to services and resources.

Faculty and staff members were sent an email message from the MapWorks Committee that provides detailed information about program. Additional questions about MAP-Works can be directed to Giardina or Joe Godwin, Provost’s Office, x12400.
