Helicopter rides offered Monday

Members of the campus community have an opportunity to ride in a helicopter Monday, June 13, during a tournament at the Meadows Golf Course.

The Holland Police Department is hosting a golf tournament fundraiser for its K9 unit. Eric Swanson, of EasyRotor Helicopter and Aviation Systems, will offer rides during the tournament from 1-5 p.m., from the west side of the golf course.

Costs for a ride is $33 per person, with proceeds to benefit the police department. The ride will be about four minutes long and will travel from Lake Michigan Drive south to Pierce Street, returning to the golf course. The helicopter will not fly over the academic or athletic areas on campus.
