GVSU bus changes due to police officer funeral

As many as 3,500 people are expected to attend the memorial service Friday, October 21, for Officer Trevor Slot. The service begins at 1 p.m. at Resurrection Life Church in Grandville. The funeral procession will travel about 10 miles from the church to the Rosedale Cemetery, off Lake Michigan Drive.

There will be periods of time between 3-6 p.m. when Lake Michigan Drive will be closed between 8th Avenue and Kinney, in Standale. Grand Valley buses will continue to run; however, between 3-6 p.m., students will not be dropped off or picked up at the Meijer or Walker Fire Station bus stops in Standale.
