Grand Valley faculty, staff, students and the West Michigan
community are invited to participate in “Change U,” a free social
justice program at Grand Valley.
Grand Valley’s LGBT Resource Center is taking applications until
December 2 and it is open to 70 participants.
“Change U” will begin in January and continue through April.
Participants will attend an introductory session followed by evening
sessions on the Allendale Campus.
Colette Seguin Beighley, director of the LGBT Resource Center,
said the purpose of “Change U” is to strengthen social justice
movements on and off campus, and the program will provide the
opportunity to learn skills and strategies participants can use to
pursue their passions.
Download the application and learn more about the training
schedule online at www.gvsu.edu/socialjustice.
Grand Valley students can receive course credit by enrolling in
Liberal Studies 380 for the winter semester.
Students who completed the training series last year can
participate in “Change U 2.0,” an advanced level of the program.
For more information, contact the LGBT Resource Center at (616) 331-2530.
