Marvin DeWitt, co-founder of Bil Mar Foods and supporter of Grand Valley, died August 5 at his home. He was 92.
Mr. DeWitt and his wife, Jerene, provided support, along with Peter and Pat Cook, for the Cook-DeWitt Center on the Allendale Campus, which was completed in 1991. Mr. DeWitt also served as a member of the Grand Valley Foundation Advisory Board from 2002-2009.
President Thomas J. Haas said: "We are so grateful for the generosity of Mr. DeWitt and his family. I was saddened to hear of his passing, but know that his legacy will continue."
