As recipient of the first FTLC Master Teacher Residency Grant,
noted composer and percussionist, David Gluck, will be visiting the
Grand Valley Music Department during the week of March 1. Gluck will
lecture in classes, meet with student composers and percussionists,
and present a recital of his music.
Gluck will perform during Arts at Noon on Wednesday, March 3 in
the Cook-DeWitt Center, and perform as soloist on his composition,
Nagaina's Nemesis, with the GVSU Symphony Orchestra on
Thursday, March 4 at 8 p.m. in Louis Armstrong Theater. Both events
are open to the public with free admission.
As a founding member of Rhythm & Brass, Gluck has toured the
world as percussionist extraordinaire and has been acclaimed as a
virtuoso mallet performer and drummer. Gluck is a Yamaha, Zildjian and
Innovative Percussion performing artist. He has recorded for d'note
