GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- As economic trends create new obstacles for

cost-effective alternatives. Companies today are continuing to use
global sourcing to assist in cutting costs, offer more competitive
pricing and gain additional market share. A briefing on global sourcing
processes and best practices will be hosted by the Van Andel Global
Trade Center at Grand Valley State University. The event is sponsored by
Supply Cain Solutions.
The breakfast briefing, titled "Global Sourcing Strategies,"
will be held January 21 from 8-10 a.m in Grand Valley's Cook-DeVos
Center for Health Sciences, 301 Michigan St. NE, Grand Rapids. The fee
is $150 for non-members and $80 for members, with a $50 late fee applied
for registrations after January 15.
