The Padnos International Center will host two presentations by
award-winning author James Cowan.
“A Man who Dreamt with Dreamers,” is scheduled for Tuesday, March 10,
from 2:30-3:45 p.m.; and Thursday, March 12, from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Both presentations will be in the Kirkhof Center, rooms 2215 and 2216.
Tuesday’s session is a “writer’s toolbox” for aspiring writers; Thursday
will focus on art among the Australian Aborigines.
Cowan is author of a number of internationally acclaimed books,
including “The Painted Shore,” “A Troubadour’s Testament” and “Letters
from A Wild State.” In 1998 he was awarded the prestigious Australian
Literature Society’s Gold Medal for his novel, “A Mapmaker’s Dream.” His
work has been translated into more than 20 languages.
