Fourth annual pedometer challenge starts soon

Registration for the fourth annual Walking Works Pedometer Challenge will begin on August 24. The challenge, sponsored by Health and Wellness, encourages Grand Valley campus departments to form teams and count steps in a “Battle of the Valleys” competition with Saginaw Valley State University.

The pedometer challenge will run for seven weeks. Registration is open until September 11. Lindsey DesArmo, Health and Wellness coordinator, said the goal is to register 100 teams. Last year, 62 Grand Valley teams participated.
