Expert to discuss medical ethics of cloning and stem cells

Stem cell therapy, cloning, face transplantation and producing human organs are just a few of the topics that will be discussed by a leading expert in human genetics.
 

The Regional Math and Science Center is sponsoring a free community lecture by Sam Rhine, an adjunct faculty member at Indiana University. Rhine travels the country speaking to teachers and nurses about human genetics. His lecture will take place Monday, September 28, from 7-8:30 p.m. in Loosemore Auditorium in the DeVos Center.

Rhine has also taught at Tufts University, Union College, University of St. Thomas, and Indiana University-Purdue University. He received the Distinguished Hoosier Scholar Award from the Hoosier Association of Science Teachers in 2007 and was given the Honorary Member Award by the National Association of Biology Teachers.
