Activist Keith Boykin will talk about race and sexual orientation at the
next Professionals of Color Lecture, sponsored by Grand Valley State
University's Office of Multicultural Affairs.
Boykin’s presentation, “One More River to Cross: Building a Bridge
Between Race and Sexual Orientation,” is scheduled for Wednesday,
January 14, beginning at 4 p.m. in the Kirkhof Center, Grand River Room,
on the GVSU Allendale Campus. It is free and open to the public; parking
is available in lot K.
Boykin is a founder and former president of the National Black Justice
Coalition. He also served as special assistant to President Bill Clinton
and as executive director of the National Black Lesbian and Gay
Leadership Forum. Boykin is the author of three books and the editor of
the online newspaper, the Daily Voice.
