Virtual race connects campuses

Grand Valley's Health and Wellness is holding the third annual Virtual Race. This year's theme is Connecting Campuses. Participants will work to complete the 125 mile journey connecting Grand Valley's Campuses in the West Michigan area by entering workouts in an online tracking system. Faculty and staff who complete the entire 125 mile journey are eligible to enter into a drawing to win a trip near the Traverse City campus.

The race begins on June 2 and runs through July 18. The online tracking system will be available on June 1. Using your novell username and password for login and you can create an account. Participants will be able to enter in walking or other physical activities which will equate to mileage. As participants enter in the activities there is a map which will highlight the distance they have traveled. Participants will be able to see a list of others who sign up for the race to see where their ranking.

All participants will receive a free Health and Wellness T-shirt and those who complete the 125 mile loop will be entered in a chance to win deluxe accommodations at Shanty Creek Resorts in Bellaire  with choice of massage or golf package.
