Seidman College of Business responded to the financial crisis Tuesday
with the first in a series of "emergency events."
A panel of faculty experts and members of the local business community
discussed what caused the current crisis, what the implications are, and
what the government is doing about the crisis. The panel was moderated
by Sri Sundaram, chair of the Finance Department, and featured
professors Paul Isely, Dan Giedeman, Larry Blose. Other panelists were
Michael Hampton, Vice President of Investments, Raymond James &
Associates; Mitch Stapley, Managing Director, Fixed Income Strategies,
Fifth Third Asset Management; and Jon Chism, Audit Partner, Plante & Moran
