Soprano visits Arts at Noon

Grand Valley State University kicks off the winter/spring Arts at Noon Series on Thursday, January 15, with soprano Rachel Inselman. Known for her operatic roles and recital repertoire, Inselman, a professor at the University of Minnesota, Duluth, has appeared with the Cleveland Orchestra, the Toledo and Duluth-Superior Symphonies and the Shanghai Broadcasting Symphony.

All performances in the series are held at noon in the Cook-DeWitt Center, last about one hour and are free and open to the public. The series continues through April with seven additional performances:
  • January 23 – Stanley Chepaitis and Friends, jazz violin
  • February 7 – Grand Rapids Symphony Orchestra
  • February 19 – Nathaniel Chaitkin, cellist
  • March 11 – Perugino String Quartet
  • March 18 – Rocco Parisi, bass clarinet
  • March 27 – Comic Intermezzo
  • April 9 – Rouge, West Coast ensemble
