President Haas a 'good sport'

President Haas tested his skills as a television sports announcer Thursday night. Haas was the featured sports presenter during the 10 p.m. sportscast on WXSP and during the 11 p.m. sportscasts on WOOD TV-8 and WOTV-41. He gave highlights of the Grand Valley men’s and women’s basketball games.

WOOD TV 8 sports director Jack Doles invited the president to the anchor desk after the two competed in a free-throw contest. In return, Doles is expected to sit in as president of Grand Valley for a day. That has yet to be scheduled.
