Homecoming Expo seeks participants

Grand Valley's Homecoming celebration is Saturday, October 11, and Alumni Relations is seeking groups or departments to participate in the 2008 Open House at the Alumni House from 2-6 p.m. The Open House offers an opportunity for organizations to come in contact with the 600-800 GVSU alums and their families who visit the Alumni House during their return visit to campus. The day features many additional festive activities in addition to the Open House and Expo.

Organizations are invited to host a table in the Perry Dining Room to talk about current projects or campaigns, distribute literature, hold drawings, sell merchandise, answer questions, or just make a place where alumni and affiliates can meet and touch base. Participants will be listed on the Homecoming Web site at www.gvsu.edu/homecoming .

Homecoming promotions begin in August, with a postcard mailed to all 60,000 + Alumni, and additional promotion in the Grand Valley magazine later in the month. All promotions direct interested parties to the Homecoming Web sites.  Groups that confirm participation at the open house by Friday August 8 will be included in promotions.
