Grand Valley participants in a faculty/staff exercise program topped
their counterparts from Saginaw Valley State University to win the
"Golden Shoe" trophy.
In the Walking Works pedometer challenge, Grand Valley participants
traveled 54,777 miles, more than 35,000 miles over SVSU participants.
Both universities started the exercise program on September 15; the
challenge ran for six weeks with participants logging their steps online.
Walking Works at Grand Valley is sponsored by the Health and Wellness
department and continues until December 5.
