Grand Valley remembers Sept. 11 victims

Memorial services to remember the victims of Sept. 11 were held on both the Allendale and Pew Grand Rapids campuses.

Flags, representing the victims of Sept. 11, were placed in the ground at the VanSteeland Arboretum on the Allendale Campus by members of the Student Senate. Grand Valley’s brass ensemble played taps during the time of each plane crash, beginning at 8:46 a.m. when the first plane hit the World Trade Center.

A similar ceremony, marking the 7th anniversary of the attacks, was held on the Pew Grand Rapids Campus.
