Pew Student Services and Career Services are working together to host an
event for graduate students called "Beyond Your Master's Degree:
Attributes and Competencies that Employers Require, Expect, and
Value."
The purpose of this event is to expose Grand Valley State University
graduate students to a panel of local professionals in the non-profit,
social work, criminal justice, and public/ government sectors, who can
offer advice on the attributes, competencies, and experiences that
employers seek when hiring candidates with Master’s degrees.
The event is scheduled for Monday, March 17, in the Loosemore
Auditorium. A question and answer session with the panelists will be
held from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm, with refreshments served afterwards.
Panelists include representatives from Ottawa County Friend of the
Court, Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce, Children's Assessment
Center, City of Grand Rapids, and the Johnson Center for Philanthropy
and Leadership, among others.
