The new additions to Mackinac Hall and Kirkhof Center are filling with
faculty and staff occupants as the summer office shuffle continues.
Below is a list of departments (with main suite numbers) that have moved
to the new Mackinac Hall addition:
• College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Dean’s offices: Mackinac Hall B-4 232
• Geography and Planning Department: Mackinac Hall B-4 105
• Hospitality and Tourism Management: Mackinac Hall B-3 226
• Movement Science: Mackinac Hall B-2-235
• Modern Languages and Literatures: Mackinac Hall B-2 243
• Philosophy Department: Mackinac Hall B-3 105
• Regional Math and Science Center: Mackinac Hall C-1 120 (scheduled to
move in early August)
The Institutional Marketing Department moved to Riverfront Plaza, on
Campau Street, creating a shuffle of departments in Lake Michigan Hall:
• Human Resources Services and Benefits: Lake Michigan Hall 158
• News and Information Services: Lake Michigan Hall 133
• University Counsel: Lake Michigan Hall 260
Also, the three-story addition to Kirkhof Center nears completion. The
following departments have moved:
• LGBT Resource Center: Kirkhof Center 1161
• Office of Multicultural Affairs: Kirkhof Center 1240
• Women’s Center: Kirkhof Center 1210
The ELS Language Center, formally housed in the Cook-DeVos Center for
Health Sciences, has moved to 10745 48th Street in Allendale, one mile
west of the Allendale Campus.
The four-story addition to Mackinac Hall will house 120 faculty offices,
two 70-seat caserooms and 20 general classrooms in 83,000 square feet of
new space. The Kirkhof Center addition will also house the Lanthorn offices.
