Day of Caring is United Way's largest annual volunteer opportunity, and
this year Grand Valley's Women’s Center is helping coordinate ways to
help in both Ottawa and Kent counties as part of the university's United
Way campaign. Projects include:
• Sept. 2-10
Clothing for Crime Victims
Drop of new children's clothing to the Women's Center to support the
Clothing for Crime Victims program of the Children's Assessment Center
• Sept. 11
8:30- 9:30 a.m., Walk in Their Shoes Tour
Volunteers will tour the Children's Assessment Center and hear from
professionals who provide services to child victims of suspected sexual abuse
1:30-4:30 p.m., Super Hero Book Project
at Campus Elementary School
Help students create a "Super Hero Storybook." This will
involve story creation and coloring. Finished books will be placed in
the school library.

GVSU Children's Enrichment Center
Volunteer to beautify Grand Valley’s own children's center.
LOVE Inc.
Allendale’s Love Inc. has a variety of tasks centered around its food
bank and client outreach
