Database available for hiring student workers for home services

The Family Helper Database is a new online service for faculty and staff members to use for hiring babysitting, house sitting, pet sitting or elder care services.

The database, housed at the Women’s Center Web site (www.gvsu.edu/women_cen ), enables students to post their contact information and a description of the kind of services they provide. It also highlights qualifications like CPR, first aid training and/or Red Cross babysitter certification. Women’s Center staff members complete a criminal background check on students who are interested in being listed in the database. To access the database, users will need their Grand Valley logins and passwords.

Questions about the database can be directed to the Women’s Center at x12748.
