Grand Valley's annual Family Weekend runs September 28-30.
Saturday morning begins with the Family 5K run/walk and all participants
will receive a free Family Weekend t-shirt. Enjoy Pancakes with
Presidents, Family Feud, games, activities, and academic presentations
all happening in the Kirkhof Center.
The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences will be sponsoring “Lifelong
Learning with Faculty.” Academic presentations by several CLAS faculty
members will be happening from 10 a.m.-noon in the Henry/Padnos Atrium.
Three cruises have already been booked for students and families to
learn aboard the W.G. Jackson Research Vessel.
On the Pew Campus, Henry Matthews will be hosting lunch and an art tour,
and the Padnos College of Engineering and Computing will feature an open
house of its new Kennedy Hall of Engineering from 2 - 4 p.m. The Meijer
Campus in Holland also has activities planned throughout the day.
The day culminates with Taste of West Michigan in the Fieldhouse arena.
Area businesses and restaurants will be on hand to provide samples, and
many raffle prizes will be given away throughout the evening. For more
