Traditionally a one-day event, the Intercultural Festival will be a
week-long celebration this year. Thirty-three programs are scheduled
from November 12-16, with 41 student organizations or university
departments involved.
The festival dates back to the founding of Grand Valley in 1963 when it
was known as Ethnic Festival.
Tom Coy, assistant director of Student Life said, “The Intercultural
Festival recognizes that culture represents a spectrum of traits in
people that are not confined to ethnicity.”
