Grand Valley's University Club has teamed with the Anthropology Club to
sponsor a golf outing, “Scramble Fore Scholarships,” Friday, October 5,
at the Meadows.
The scramble will start at 1 p.m. following lunch. Cost is $50 per
golfer for UClub members and $60 for non-members. Proceeds will benefit
the Richard E. Flanders Scholarship. The scholarship was established in
1990 in memory of Flanders, an anthropology professor and charter UClub member.
Following the scramble, an Oktoberfest will be held at the Meadows Golf
Academy. Cost is $5 for members and $10 for non-members. German food and
beers by local brewers will be provided. RSVP by Tuesday, October 2, by
sending an e-mail to Kim Schmidt at [email protected].
