Steelcase librarian remembered

Pat Parker, a senior librarian at the Steelcase Library, died October 31 after a long battle with cancer. Parker, 67, came to Grand Valley in 2000 and served as the librarian for law, legal studies and criminal justice. She was an active member of the Grand Valley community, serving on several committees including the Pew Faculty Teaching and Learning Center Advisory Committee and the GVSU Graduate Council. She also served as a mediator for the Dispute Resolution Center of West Michigan.
Parker is survived by her husband, John, two children and one grandson.
