The pitch must be an original, innovative concept, created by the presenter. Each participant will have 90 seconds to pitch their business idea without the use of any A/V or sales aids (although a product prototype is allowed).
The first place prize is $1,500, second place is $900 and third place is $400.
The contest is open to all Grand Valley students; awards are limited to undergraduates. Graduate students are welcome to participate in the training sessions.
All participants must attend one or both of Idea Pitch training sessions. The first is Monday, January 29 and the second is Monday, February 5. Check the Collegiate Entrepreneurs' Organization's Web site www.gvsuceo.com for more information on times and locations. Preliminary Round will be held on Monday, February 19 at the University Club from 6-10p and the Final Round will be held on Monday February 26, at the Eberhard Center, Room 201-03 from 7:30p-10p.
