The Second City, the legendary comedy troupe that launched the careers
of a countless number of the comedy world's greatest stars will be
performing their classic sketch and improvisational comedy in a show
titled Truth, Justice or The American Way
in the Grand Valley State University Fieldhouse on Friday, April 20, 2007.
The Second City has launched the careers of thousands of comic
performers in its more than 45-year history, including current comic
sensations Steve Carell, Stephen Colbert, Tina Fey and Rachel Dratch, as
well as comic legends Mike Myers, Chris Farley, Bill Murray, Catherine
O'Hara, John Belushi, Gilda Radner, John Candy, Dan Aykroyd, Martin
Short, George Wendt, Fred Willard, Alan Arkin and more.
Truth, Justice or The American Way
features the next generation of comic greats performing a diverse array
of sketches and songs, as well as off the cuff improvisation that can
provide completely unexpected comic brilliance. From the battle of the
sexes to the battles at the voting booth, The Second City provides a
hilarious and insightful look into contemporary American culture.

. Tickets are $5 with a GVSU id (including Faculty, Staff, Students, and
Administration). Non-GVSU tickets are $10. All tickets (if any remain)
will be $10 at the door. We invite those over the age of 17 to attend
the show.
