Pioneer reunion highlights GVSU Homecoming

ALLENDALE, Mich. -- A 40-year reunion of Grand Valley State University’s first graduates highlights Homecoming activities scheduled for Friday and Saturday, October 12-13.

With the theme “40 Years of Coming Home,” Homecoming activities include the Pioneer Class of 1967 40-year reunion, a 5K run/walk, pancake breakfast and film festival. Events conclude with the football game at 7 p.m. Saturday, when the Lakers host the University of Indianapolis. Other activities are below. -- Pioneer Class of 1967 40-year Reunion, Friday, 6 – 9 p.m., DeVos Center.
-- Laker Homecoming 5K Run/Walk, Saturday, 9 a.m., start at Fieldhouse.
-- Pancake Breakfast featuring guest pancake chef President Tom Haas, Saturday, 10 a.m., Fieldhouse.
-- College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Film Festival featuring films produced by GVSU students, alumni and faculty, Saturday, 11:30 a.m. – 3 p.m., Henry Hall.
