Panelists will discus public relations and how the field is perceived by
the general public at a forum organized by a student.
Lisa Travnik, vice president for advocacy for the National Public
Relations Student Society of America, organized the event as part of her
Honors College senior project. The event is open to all students,
faculty and staff members; it’s set for Wednesday, April 4, at 4:30 p.m.
in the Kirkohf Center, Pere Marquette Room. Attendees will be encouraged
to challenge these professionals on the topics of ethics or the social

This panel will be used as a model for a nationwide advocacy effort by
the Public Relations Student Society of America.
