Nominations sought for Barbara Jordan award

The Woman and Gender Studies program is seeking nominations for the Barbara Jordan Award, which is presented annually to a Grand Valley community member who has been a long-time advocate of women, women's issues, and the WGS program.

Nominees will be judged on several qualifications, including making a lasting contribution in the areas of women's learning and scholarship, and helping create a climate in which such changes can grow.
The nominaton and selection process is confidential. The deadline for nominations is February 23; send them to the WGS office in Lake Ontario Hall, room 229. Nominatons must include a letter, curriculum vitae and other relevant information. Other information is available online at www.gvsu.edu/wgs.

The award will be presented at the annual Women's Commission Awards Ceremony, March 20.
