New support services help disabled students

Disability Support Services has a new online Test Accommodation Form as well as a new online scanned textbook form for DSS participants to use.

The online Test Accommodation Form allows qualifying students to complete a form and submit to their professors from any location with online access. Faculty will receive an e-mail requesting them to complete the form and submit. Once submitted, it is routed via e-mail to the testing coordinator's office for coordinating arrangements. The online Test Accommodation Form replaces the paper forms that were previously used.

The scanned textbook form will allow students who qualify for textbooks in alternative format to inform DSS of their textbook requests online. Participants will fill out a web form to request scanned textbooks rather than call the office. The form will be located on the Disability Support Services Web site www.gvsu.edu/dss in the Assistive Technology section.
