Grand Valley has authorized the opening of a new charter school. A
seven-year contract was approved by the Board of Trustees for Reach
Charter Academy. The school will be located in Roseville, Michigan, and
will open in fall 2008.
The school, intended to be K-8, is expected to draw a total of 680
students from the Roseville, Eastpointe and Detroit areas.
“Schools operated by National Heritage Academies have demonstrated the
ability to lead in student achievement,” said Ed Richardson, special
assistant for Charter Schools at Grand Valley. “We look forward to
another successful school.”
Reach Charter Academy will be the 29th charter school authorized by
Grand Valley.
